I’ve loved the written word for a long time. This picture is from a book I entered a contest with way back in elementary school. There was a car chase, a disguise and apparently I thought bad guys wore black baseball hats and could peek between jail bars. I was seven and had just caught the writing bug. My handwriting was awful and the pages of my little old book are yellowing, but I was so proud of my very own ‘Detective Find-It’ mystery. My drawing skills haven’t evolved too much since then, but I promise not to submit you to that! Perhaps you’re looking for a little inspiration after a rough day; or an encouraging word when you wonder if you’re the only one who feels the way you do. Perhaps google sent you to my page because you need a quick recipe or something easy to satisfy a crafty itch. If this is you, scroll through and I hope you feel right at home.
I’m Angie and I’m elated to hold the door open for you to my blog! By the grace of God, I wear a few interesting hats: wife, mother of college-age children, (how in the world that happened, I often wonder!), employee and forever-student. I’m always on a search for the answer to that age-old question, “What’s for dinner?” and if I do say so myself, I make a mean chocolate chip cookie! I love and appreciate DIY anything. I’ve recently ventured into the world of yarn and am hiding a quickly-growing stash. I’m thankful for youtube that can teach anything from how to fix car parts to learning crochet. I love, love, love “Paying It Forward” and encouraging others to do the same. Ever feel like just when you get used to a particular chapter in your life, guess what? It’s time to turn the page? Me too! I’m there now.
That’s why I’m here – C’mon in and let’s find out together what comes next.
P.S. I’d love to hear from you – wherever you are. Feel free to drop by on social media and say ‘hi there!’
